Jim Klement, Director of the Camp American Legion in Lake Tomahawk spoke at the Wausau American Legion Post 10 meeting on January 18 at Bunkers Restaurant. Commander Bob Weller presented Jim with gift cards from Post to purchase milk for the camp for the entire year. Jim also spoke at the Veterans Weekly Cup of Coffee group meeting with Jessica McInnis, the camp Office Manager on February 23, 2021 at Denny’s in Rothschild.
Jim and Jessica talked about what the camp has to offer and how to make reservations for the upcoming season.
The camp is a free resource for Wisconsin Veterans, active duty and reserves, their immediate families and families of the fallen. Campers stay on-site in one of the cabins near the lake. They are provided three meals a day with various opportunities to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect.
