WAUSAU — The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Renae Krings has been named Vice President of the organization. This is a new position at the Chamber. Krings’ previous title with the organization was economic development specialist.

“I am honored at this new opportunity.” said Krings. “I look forward to continuing the mission of the Chamber and further supporting the execution of the Greater Wausau Region Economic Development Plan.”

Krings will be responsible for leading the execution of the Greater Wausau Region Economic Development Plan and supporting the Greater Wausau Prosperity Partnership (GWPP) in this new role. Further, Krings will support the President/CEO of the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce in varied efforts to align the activities of the GWPP and the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce.

Krings has been employed by the Chamber since 2016 and graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute (OU EDI) in 2020.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Renae since 2016. In that time, Renae has grown professionally in several appointed positions in workforce and economic development. Renae possesses a strong commitment to learn, lead and execute.” said Dave Eckmann, President/CEO at the Chamber.  “This is a next step in her development as a community leader.”
