Wausau, WI- United Way of Marathon County in partnership with The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, WIC, the Marathon County Hunger Coalition, and the Neighbors’ Place (The Babies Place) have secured a large donation of formula for residents.
This $22,000 investment was used to purchase formula and bring it directly to the Wausau Community. The Marathon County Hunger Coalition delivered cans to the Healthfirst office this morning. Families can access this formula and other resources by visiting the WIC office or the Neighbors’ Place (Babies Place). This formula was purchased locally at the Edgar Foods IGA.
Due to the recent Similac recall, there is a severe supply issue and limited formula options for WIC recipients and families who frequent the Neighbors’ Place. United Way of Marathon County is committed to advocating for a safe and caring community, where everyone achieves success and good health. This is another way these strong organizations collaborate and work together.
