Jerome E. Brickner
Jerome E. “Jerry” Brickner, 83, Marathon, died Wednesday March 9, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by his family on his journey home.
He was born June 24, 1938, in Milwaukee, to Jerome and Pearl (Church) Brickner. On April 11, 1959, he married the love of his life, Grace Wagner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marathon. She survives.
Jerry was a member of the Army Reserves. He was owner of Brickner Motors, Brickner’s of Wausau and Brickner’s of Antigo prior to his retirement. Going to the cottage, annual trips to Canada fishing with family, and hunting trips out West and in Canada were among his favorite things to do. He loved animals and kids, and dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Grace, their children and grandchildren; Jerry M. III (Jane) Brickner, Wausau and their children, Janessa Grace (Tom) Ress and Jerry IV; Michael (Cheryl) Brickner, Tomahawk, and daughter, Michaella; Steve (Linda) Brickner, Tomahawk and their children, Steven (Katie) Brickner, and children,Paityn and Abigail, Melissa (Kurt) Seubert, and children, Madalynn, Quinnlynn and Conrad, Shawn (Joey) Brickner, Melanie (Scott) Heinz and son, A.J.; Maria (Tom) Olson, Wausau, and their children, Thomas Olson, Michael (Kaylee) Olson and children, Alyssa and Braylee, and Grace Olson; his siblings, Romayne (Joe) Breaman, Irma, Carol (Jim) Studzinski, Wisconsin Rapids, Lorraine Wilichowski, Minnesota, Ginger Weiks, Marathon, Gail (Steve) Studinski, Marathon, Vicky Ramsey, Marathon; sister-in-law, Linda Brickner, Marathon.
Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryan, two granddaughters, Tara and Kendra Brickner, two brothers, Raymond and Wayne, brothers-in-law, Gerald Wilichowski and Bob Weiks.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 14, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by American Legion Alois Dreikosen Post #469, Marathon. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marathon. Visitation will continue Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gifts from Heaven or St. Mary School.

Jeanette A. Reamer
Jeanette “Jan” A. Reamer, age 80, passed peacefully under at Mount View Care Center of Wausau, WI.
Jan was born October 6, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN to the late Richard and Thelma (Pettinger) Anderson. After high school, she graduated from beauty school in Minneapolis and worked as a beautician until she became a homemaker. Jan was a loving and caring mother to her 5 children, but her love did not stop there; her loving and caring nature extended to all that knew her and would consider her a second mother. Jan’s favorite pastimes were, shooting pool in leagues, going fishing, sewing, playing cribbage with her friend Sylvia, quilting, and baking large chocolate chip cookies for her children’s birthday.
Jan is survived by her children; Kathi Reamer, Brian (Laura) Reamer, Robert Reamer, and Richard Reamer, her grandchildren; Nicole (Kris), Thomas (Anissa), Travis (Miranda), Robert, Chelsea (Justin), Taneekah (Brad & Mindy), James, Ryan (Alyssa), Logan (Amanda), and Cassidy, her great-grandchildren; Aubrey, Kinsley, Jayson, Jaxon, Clara, Charlotte, Emma, Amara, Savannah, Brinley, Airyabella, Allyazzah, her siblings; Richard (Jan), Rani, Bruce, and Marcia (Jerry).
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Amy and longtime companion Peter.
The family would like to thank Interim HealthCare for the care and comfort they have provided to Jan.
Jan’s family would especially like to thank Jean Risberg for the wonderful care she provided to Jan through the years; her friendship and support are very much appreciated and will not be forgotten.

Henrietta M. Woodkey
Henrietta Marie Woodkey left this earth on March 8, 2022 surrounded by loved ones who will be forever grateful for the person she was. She was born into this the world on September 22, 1947 as the daughter of August and Olive Mundt.
Henrietta, while being a petite woman, she was a fiercely independent, strong-willed and passionate woman who lived life on her own terms which allowed her to become the woman that everyone loved. People often understated the inner strength that she possessed due to her being petite. However, once they grew to know her, they would come to realize that she was a force of nature.
She truly was the best and greatest sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend ever and her passing will be felt for generations to come. She was extremely loyal to everyone she loved. She spent her time caring for dogs and most importantly, with family and friends. And above all, Henrietta had one heck of a heart and would put everyone else first before herself.
She is survived by her lovely sister Joann (Dale) Thompson and their children son Danny Mundt, daughters Jennifer (James) Schultz; Jennifer (Nick) Klimpke.
She is preceded in death by her sister Donna Muller, brother Charles Mundt and her lovely granddaughter Alicia May St. John who passed away on 4/14/2018.
She is further survived by her son Kevin (Jessica) St. John and their daughter Jocelyn; son Larry (Dee) St. John and his children Alicia, Sara and Lawrence (Scoobie); daughter Renee (Leroy) Olson and her children Crystal Olerich, Brandi (Patrick IV) Stevens. Along with the 11 great grandchildren Henrietta loved so much; Audrina, Patrick V, Jordan, Corban, Ayanna, Kavarei, Cyrain, Lamaya, Kyaire, Devon, and Ember.
Memorial Services will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Brainard Funeral Home, located at 522 Adams St in Wausau. Viewing for friends and family will start at 1:00pm, with the service to start at 3:00pm.
Randal J. Mathwick
Randal (Randy) James Mathwick, 67, passed away March 7, 2022 after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer at Colonial Health and Rehab of Colby under the care of hospice and his loving sister. He was born January 30, 1955, in Wausau, WI to Harvey and Ethel (Doede) Mathwick, the youngest of three boys and big brother to his sister Kay.
Randy grew up in Wausau, and graduated from Wausau West High School in 1973, during this time he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended UW Stout in Menomonie and earned a Bachelors Degree in Hotel, Motel Restaurant Management. After an extensive career in restaurants including manager and executive chef at the Northernaire Resort in Three Lakes, WI and Tuscumbia Country Club & 680 North in Green Lake, WI, he later completed an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Management from Moraine Park Technical College in 1995 and obtained his certification in land surveying. He went on to work for Saylor Land Surveying and was the Director of Field Operations for the City of Duluth.
Randy was an avid Badger, Brewer and Packer fan, and enjoyed watching his teams compete throughout the years. He was passionate about hunting and fishing and looked forward to the annual deer hunt with family and friends at the Mathwick Hunting 80 near Willard. Randy was rarely seen without his canine companion, Maggie.
Randy is survived by his sister Kay (Jamie) Beck, Devils Lake, ND; niece Madison; nephews Christian, Matthew and Cameron. Special friends Rick and Marcia Zeigler and Todd Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey (2017) and Ethel (1982), brothers Robert (2005) and Ronald (1991).
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 11AM at Mt. Olive Church, 6205 Alderson St, Weston, WI, with visitation one hour before the service. Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5PM to 7PM at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St, Wausau, WI. Donna M. Fischer
Donna M. Fischer, 87, Wausau passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born November 15, 1934, in Newburg, daughter of the late Lester and Stella (Lochen) Geib. Along with her parents Donna and her siblings moved to Edgar in 1946. On June 13, 1951, she married Vernon Fischer at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2013.
For many years Donna farmed with her husband Vernon in the town of Rib Falls. She was a proud homemaker who never let her children go without fresh baked bread, chocolate cake, kolaches, doughnuts and apple pie. Her excellent Thanksgiving dressing will live on! She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, crocheting and her love of painting ceramics at Starks Floral and Ceramics in Edgar. Donna also loved her cats. It wasn’t uncommon to see a herd of cats around her walking to the barn to do chores! Tami and Lucky were her favorite house cats.
Survivors include her children, Bill (Karen) Fischer, Marathon and Diane (Randy) Durst, Rib Mountain, her grandchildren, Julie (Brian) Carnes, Chad (Carly) Fischer, Heather (Aaron) Zimmel, Ryan (Amber) Fischer, her great grandchildren, Zachary and Ali Carnes, Owen, Harper and Emry Zimmel and Felicity and Carter Fischer, her siblings, Dale (Karen) Geib, West Bend, Roger Geib, Saukville, Charlie (Barb) Geib, Wausau and Mary (Steve) Crittenden, Cleveland and many nieces and nephews and her extended family, Jon and Kari Durst, Scott and Jenny Longdo and Keith and Juli Kreager and their families.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. The Rev. Alan Wierzba will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Edgar. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Marathon funeral home. Dellar L. Gilbertson
Dellar “Del” L. Gilbertson, 92, Weston, passed away March 8, 2022, at Renaissance Assisted Living under the care of Interim Hospice Care.
He was born December 24, 1929, in Wausau to the late Albin and Ramona (Hoerter) Gilbertson. On July 8, 1950, he was united in marriage to Jeanette “Jan” Empey at St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Wausau. Together, they shared 71+ wonderful years of marriage; raising their family and enjoying all life had to offer.
He began his 32-year career with the Wausau Police Department in 1952, and in 1963 was promoted to desk sergeant. He was a 1966 graduate of the Northwestern University Traffic Institute. In 1972, he was advanced to Traffic Sergeant, supervising the Traffic Division, and served as Secretary of the Wausau Traffic and Parking Commission. During his 12-year tenure in that office, he was dedicated in promoting traffic, pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycle safety; receiving recognition every year, including the Grand Award from AAA in 1980 for being the safest city in the United States for cities of comparable size. He made numerous trips to Madison with city officials to accept these awards and was proud of achieving these honors. Del was on the departments’ pistol team competing in matches throughout the state, and in 1961 the four-member team won the W.P.P.A. class C state championship in Kenosha. In 1960, he was instrumental in organizing the Wausau City Employees Credit Union; serving as secretary for two years. In 1962, he was elected president and held that office for four years.
After retiring in 1984, his long-time friend, Charles Helke, offered him a full-time position at the Helke Funeral Home. He was employed there for ten years.
In 1994, he and Jan sought warmer temperatures, so they moved to their dream home in Sun City, Arizona, where they resided for 19 years. During those years, they traveled extensively throughout the United States and eighteen foreign countries. Del enjoyed golfing and had the privilege of working as a Marshall for ten years at the Annual Phoenix Open in Scottsdale.
He was a member of Sun City Masonic Lodge #72, El Zaribah Shrine, Sun Cities Shrine Club (serving as president in 2003), and the Sun Cities Scottish Rite Club. He and Jan were actively involved in the annual Clothe-A-Child program during the Christmas season.
In 2011, they moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to their family. He reinstated his membership with Forest Lodge #130, F. & A. M. in Wausau. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason, longtime member of Zor Shrine in Madison, and in 1987 was chosen to serve a one-year term as Outer Guard on the Zor Shrine Divan. He was a lifetime member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of the Eau Claire Valley, where he was a Past Most Wise Master of the Chapter of Rose Croix and was active in degree work each spring and fall. Del worked diligently to support the Shrine Hospitals; transporting children and their families to and from the Shrine Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was a member of Wausau Elk’s Lodge #248, and also Lodge #2559 while residing in Sun City.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra (Dean) Ostrander, Kaukauna, Mary Zelton (Brad Main) Tomahawk, Cheryl Traska, Tomahawk; a son, Michael (Danette) Gilbertson of Weston; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew (Elisabeth), Bradley (Melissa), and Catherine Ostrander, Dr. Kimberly, Alison, and James Zelton, Jamie (Steve) Howe, Travis (Jenn) Traska, Stephanie (Brett) Borneman, Gretchen Krueger, Lucas Gilbertson (Sarah Elliott), Shanon (Mitch) Feltz, and Jarett (Melissa) Gilbertson; eleven great-grandchildren, Ryan Ostrander, Kali, Dawson, and Marli Traska, Onnika Honeck, Jason, Logan, and Isabella Borneman, Alyce and Margaret Feltz, and Gavin Gilbertson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister, Bonnie, and loving son, Patrick.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world and he was so proud of the close bond and love that existed. They never greeted or parted without expressing their love for one another.
A private family memorial service will be held at the Restlawn Memorial Mausoleum Chapel for Del and his wife, who passed away on November 26, 2021. Pastor Gloria VanHouten from Peace, U.C.C. in Schofield, will officiate. Memorials can be sent to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2025 East River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55414, or Peace United Church of Christ, 1530 Grand Avenue, Schofield, WI 54476. Marian J. Dulak
Marian J. Dulak, 95, of 1883 Sunny Ct., Mosinee, died Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 at home.
She was born Sept. 18th, 1926, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Smolkovicz) Krupski. She married Anton (Tony) Dulak on July 2nd, 1955, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31st, 1995.
Marian worked at Louis Allis in Milwaukee. She retired as a Quality Inspector at Federal Mogul, Schofield, WI. She enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, playing cards and dice with family, word games, and occasionally scratch-off-tickets. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries.
Surviving children include John (Rita) Goskowicz, Wittenberg; Patricia (Paul) Kwiatkowski, Waupaca; Robert (Barb) Dulak, Glennallen, AK; and Diane (James) Shebelski, Mosinee, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grand children. She is also survived by one sister-in-law Patricia Krupski, Milwaukee; and special friends Betty and Beth. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Krupski.
Visitation will be from 9:45am to 11:00am at St Marks Church, Rothschild. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at St. Marks Catholic Church Rothschild. The Rev. Allan Sloviak will officiate. Burial will be in St. Pauls cemetery, Mosinee.

Allan Leitermann
Allan Leitermann Allan (Al) Leitermann 87, crossed from this life to his Lords arms on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
He was born in Marathon, March 13, 1934 to Elmer and Elleanor (Erdman) Leitermann. He married Marcella Mroczenski, May 16, 1956. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2006.
Survived by his son Ken (Bonnie) Leitermann, Tomahawk; his daughter Brenda (Kevin) Kaiser-Sorenson, Marathon; son-in-law Steven Jilk, Marathon; grandchildren; Clayton Leitermann; Melissa (Tyler) Thrun; Jason Jilk; Dawn (Luke) Gordon; Dr. Dakota (Rachel) Kaiser and Austin Kaiser; great grandchildren; Caleb and Connor Trevino, Cole and Ella Gordon, Theo and Grace Kaiser. Sisters; Charlotte Seubert and Rita Stieber.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marcella in 2020 and daughter Susan Jilk in 2018.
He was a grateful man. His family and friends meant the world to him. He enjoyed playing solitaire, NASCAR, gospel and old country music. Allan was a friend of Bill W. He chose sobriety in 1977. He spoke at conferences in the U.S. and Canada. Volunteered on a 24 hour crisis helpline for addicts. Al helped many people by telling his story of sobriety and befriended other friends of Bill W. Allan’s grandson presented him with a 40 year sobriety coin 5 years ago.
Allan served his country with 8 years of service during the Korean War. He took a trip of a lifetime with the “Honor Flight” in 2015. That flight helped him discover the value of his military service. Al worked at Marathon Cheese in its early days in Ray Goldbach’s mother-inlaw’s basement. Ray introduced Allan to Marcella during that time. He then worked for Pauly Cheese for 29 years until it’s closing. He worked for Fred Mueller Buick-Pontiac in PR for 12 years. Al volunteered and was head of maintenance at St. Anthony Retreat Center from 1978-1990.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Marathon, on Saturday, March 12, 2022 (the day before his 88th birthday) with Msgr. Joseph Diermeier officiating.
Visitation with the family will start at 9 a.m., please come and view photos and pay your respects. At 11:00 there will be a Reflection of Life with music, followed by a Funeral Mass.
A family burial will take place in April on his wife’s birthday when the weather is more conducive.

Patricia R. Petrowski
Patricia R. Petrowski, age 91, of Eagle River, WI., died on Friday March 4th, at Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff WI., with her family at her side.
Patricia was born December 28, 1930, in Wausau WI, the daughter of Earl R. and Madge L. (Martin) Rhyner. She attended Schofield grade school and graduated from Wausau Senior High in 1949.
In 1953, she married Edwin J. Petrowski Jr., who passed away in 1996.
Patricia was employed part time by Wausau Credit Bureau 1948-49 prior to graduation, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation from 1949 until her marriage, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Highways, Rhinelander, from 1962-1993, retiring in January 1993. Mother considered her co-workers at the D.O.T. as lifelong friends, many of whom will be welcoming her as she begins her new journey.
Patricia was active in the Nativity Parish Women’s group, Nicolet College Learning in Retirement program, State Highway Retirees, YMCA, and continuing education courses sponsored by Nicolet College.
Patricia enjoyed traveling and made many trips with the Department of Aging, family and friends. Her trip to Alaska with friends resulted in reaching the 50th state, a milestone she and our dad started many years ago. After dad passed, so soon after retirement, mom was blessed with an outstanding support group. Lifelong friends were joined by new friends…too many to count! She spoke often about her trips to Washington D.C., New Orleans with the Senior Group and trips to Hawaii and Italy with daughter Nora and son-in-law Alan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin, son-in-law Alan Jenks and grandson Travis Jenks.
Survivors include daughter Nora Lee Jenks, Highlands Ranch CO., and son David (Deborah) Petrowski, Rhinelander; four granddaughters, Alyssa Brogli, Wausau, Annie (Chad) Johnson and Abbey (Travis) Trickey, both of Rhinelander and Nichole (Jason) Bach, Conover WI; one grandson Keegan (Chelsea) Jenks, Denver CO; four great grandsons, Bryan and Jacob Brogli, Logan Cook and TJ Trickey; six great granddaughters, Scarlett Brogli, Jaeda Sharkey, Isabella Johnson, Sophia Cook, Charlie Trickey and Malaya Bach. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles (Lenora) Rhyner, Green Bay, WI., and John (Karen) Rhyner, Rothschild WI., as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Pat will also be missed by her constant canine companions, Crosby and Nash, during her stay in Rhinelander. She was always willing to share the couch and have a popcorn “party” with the boys and their sister Chloe Lane.
Patricia enjoyed her short time at Legacy of The Northwoods assisted living facility in Eagle River WI., the owners Gayle and Mark, as well as the numerous caretakers and residents living there. She relished in having people dote over her and serve her daily snacks.
Our family would also like to thank the ICU department at Howard Young Medical facility in Woodruff, WI., especially nurses Gail and Patricia as well as Dr. Zevitz for their extraordinary care and compassion during our mother’s final days. Your actions made us forever grateful.
