March 9 @ 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
Wausau is having its evening community Blood Drives on the second Tuesday of every month. It will be held at the Blood Center of Northcentral Wisconsin (211 Forest Street, Wausau, WI 54403) from 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Our normal hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. You can walk-in, no appointment needed, and new donors always welcome. We are the only local Blood Center in Wausau and supplier of blood to Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Anyone with cold/flu symptoms should not attend. Commit to giving blood and giving local in 2021!
The center, originally named the Marathon County Blood Bank, was established through the combined efforts of the Wausau Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), Marathon County Medical Society, and over 25 clubs, civic, and county organizations. The center opened for blood donations on Thursday, April 3rd, 1952. The center was renamed Blood Center of Northcentral Wisconsin when it moved to its current location in 2003. Our service area includes Aspirus hospitals/clinics in the cities of Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Antigo, and Stevens Point.
