PFAS-affected water systems to receive $750M in settlement with Tyco Fire Products 

Tyco Fire Products agreed to a $750 million settlement over harmful “forever chemicals” in drinking water from their firefighting foam. $250 million will be allocated shortly, with the balance following. These persistent PFAS substances, linked to various health issues, are used in several consumer products. The agreement addresses compensation for water treatment but is not an admission of liability.
