WAUSAU – The Marathon County Public Library will screen Damon Davis and Sabaah Folayan’s documentary “Whose Streets?” four days before it premieres on PBS.

Viewing is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 26 at the library’s Wausau headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.

“Whose Streets?” is an unflinching look at the Ferguson, Missouri, uprising. When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of the St. Louis area and beyond. As the National Guard rolls in, a new generation mounts a powerful battle cry not just for their civil rights, but for the right to live.

This event is a collaboration with POV, PBS’ award-winning nonfiction film series (www.pbs.org/pov) and is free and open to the public. The film will air on PBS on July 30.
