Outfielders Austin Dearing and Luke Pemberton have signed to play for the Wausau Woodchucks.

WAUSAU – The Wausau Woodchucks announced the signing of two players as Florida International University outfielder Austin Dearing and Pepperdine University outfielder Luke Pemberton will be joining the team for this summer’s season.

Daring, a redshirt junior, who previously played at Marshall University and the State College of Florida, started his FIU this spring and has a .343 batting average with 12 hits, two home runs and six RBI, including a three-hit game against Miami.

Pemberton, from Boulder, Col., is a redshirt junior this season for the Waves. In two previous season he has 11 RBI and 12 runs scored.

This season Pemberton has 16 hits, 10 RBI, a home run and three doubles for Pepperdine.

Opening Day for the Wausau Woodchucks 2024 season is Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at Athletic Park in Wausau. The first 500 fans 18 and older will receive a hat, sponsored by Wisconsin Lottery. Half and full season tickets, along with ticket packages, group tickets and hospitality areas are on sale now. Single game tickets will go on sale later this spring.
