Patricia was born on June 7, 1960 and passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Patricia was a resident of Wausau, Wisconsin at the time of her passing. She graduated from Stevens Point High School in 1978. She was married to Bill. Memories will be held at Highland Community Church Weston Campus on Saturday March 11th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Wilton Zahrt, March 8, 2017, Wausau, Wisconsin

Wilton Zahrt, 90, of Wausau, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Our House. Willie was born September 23, 1926 to the late Emil and Esther (Strehlow) Zahrt in Wausau. He married his loving wife, Jean Winter, October 6, 1956. Willie was in the United Stated Army and served his country in WWII. Willie walked every day to Marmet, where he worked as a saw operator for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, and gardening.
Willie is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Richard (Jeanne) Zahrt, Harlan (Mary) Zahrt and Rodney Zahrt; grandchildren, Richard Jr., Jen, Rachel, and Taylor; step-grandchild, Tammy; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Herbert Zahrt; sisters, Adeline Shelton, Lillian Engebrecht, Marion Zahrt and Eleanor (Edward) Martin; brother-in-law, Bernard Lehman; and sister-in-law, Mabel Zahrt. Wilton is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Marvin, Willard and Leonard Zahrt; sisters, Juanita, Mildred Totsch and Elveria Lehman; brothers-in-law, Bob Engebrecht and Marvin Totsch; and sister-in-law, Kate Zahrt.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 6th Street, Wausau. Visitation will be from 11:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.

Charles Schlitz, March 7, 2017, Wausau, Wisconsin

Charles F. Schlitz was born July 15, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI and died March 5, 2017 in Wausau, WI. After living his childhood in Illinois, Charlie served in WWII. He returned to Milwaukee to work for Employers Mutuals, later Wausau Insurance, where he met his wife Virginia Lee Quillin, who survives. They married June 28, 1947 and have two daughters Nancy (Steven) Brooks, Linda (Edward) Moore and two sons Chuck (Jody) Schlitz, John (Dena) Schlitz, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Amanda Schlitz; brother, Ralph K. Schlitz; and one great granddaughter, Pumpkin Seed Simons. Charlie retired in 1986 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
He was active in many community service roles including Kiwanis, Planning Commissions, Schools for Wausau Now Committee, several state advisory councils for education, and First Presbyterian Church Deacons and Session. Brainard Funeral Home is assisting with the service to be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 406 Grant Street, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to First Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund. John Hall, 33, March 24, 1983 – March 2, 2017, Wausau, Wisconsin

John James Hall, of Wausau, entered into the loving arms of his Savior on Thursday, March 2nd 2017 at the age of 33. John was born on March 24th, 1983 to Kathy (Johnson) Howard and the late John M. Hall. He married the love of his life, Jamie (Reagan) Hall on November 20th, 2009.
John was a proud Entrepreneur his whole life long, owning many businesses including most currently his landscaping company, Black Dirt Services, LLC in Wausau. He was highly respected in the business community. An avid fisherman and hunter, John loved to spend time outdoors with nature. Even more so, the love he had for his family knew no boundaries. The compassion and kindness that he shared for them extended to his friends and even those he did not know. John was not a selfish man; he would give you the shirt off his back (and had done so a number of times.) He will be remembered as quite the jokester and someone who loved his family more than words can express.
John is survived by his wife, Jamie, of Wausau; his mother Kathy (Jack) Howard; sisters: Heather (Jim Shepherd, fiancé) Murphy of Cudahy, Debra (Jeff) Lamboley of Hatley, and Ashley (James Schweitzer) Hall of Oconomowoc; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Pam Botwinski; two nephews, Noah and Ian; four nieces, Faith, Anaca, Izabel, and Elle; as well as many aunts and uncles that were close to him, and his “girl dog” Sniffles. He was preceded in death by his father, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5th, 2017, at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, WI 54476. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date.
