  • Wausau, Wisconsin

Eleanore R. Feltz was born on December 18, 1927 and was graciously adopted into the loving family of John and Margaret Kreidler of Fond du Lac, WI. Her time in Fond du Lac was limited; the depression forced the family to move to Fenwood, WI. She spent 16 years there with her family, attending school and farming. After a tornado hit the farm and destroyed the barn, the family again was facing a forced move due to the short supply of lumber because of the war. Eleanore moved yet again with her family to Wausau. This is where she has made her home ever since and where she met and married her husband Leonard on June 12, 1946.

Eleanore was a homemaker during her children’s younger years and then she went to work for the A & P Mart, where she stayed for 16 years until it closed. She then found work at the Health Care Center as a cook. She was there for 10 years before she chose to retire. Her retirement brought her full circle and back to being a homemaker which she dearly loved. Her retirement was spent doing some light travel to visit kids and grandkids in Colorado and Madison, WI, she was also able to play cards and do some backyard bird watching.

She is survived by her 4 sons, Gordon of Wausau, Kenneth (Linda) of Denver, Colorado, Thomas of Wausau, and Michael (Renee) of Mequon. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Joel) Szablewski of Wausau, Jason Taylor of Madison, Sarah Feltz of Denver, Colorado, and Nicholas, Isabella and Luke Feltz of Mequon, along with 2 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard and daughter Sharon.
