Lynne Schultz
Lynne Schultz will be remembered for her infectious smile and outgoing personality. She lived a full life in her short 49 years on this Earth. Her love for the Lord and her drive to help children in need really defined who Lynne was as a person. She lived in Middleton and was a counseling intern and patient advocate for Madison Mental Health Services. Lynne even helped draft a law signed by Gov. Walker designed to protect children.
She was born February 23, 1968 in Wausau to Charles and Lois (Gut) Schultz of Wausau. Lynne was a 1986 graduate of Wausau West High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and English from UW Oshkosh and was currently working on her Master’s Degree in Social Work from George Williams College in Lake Geneva. She began her career in media marketing working for the Wausau Daily Herald, Oshkosh Northwestern, WTMJ television in Milwaukee and several radio stations in Bethlehem PA. She also worked for Krause Publications in Iola specializing in organizing sport shows throughout the nation. Lynne met scientists from around the world when she was employed in the Human Resource Dept. and later as a global recruiter at Covance Pharmaceutical Research in Madison.
At the age of 49, Lynne passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Charles and Lois, two brothers, Matt (Gretchen) of Tell City, IN, Mike (Jen) of Plover and niece and nephews, Cassie, Nate, Ross and Graham. Lynne loved her family and especially was proud of being an Aunt.
A service of thanksgiving and praise for Lynne’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April, 20, 2017 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr., Wausau. Reverend Bruce Lamont and Reverend Nick Utphall of Advent Lutheran Church (where Lynne was a member in Madison) will co-officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Richard “Rick” Walters
You can’t help but smile when you think of Rick Walters.
Rick had a sense of humor that made you laugh or might have been a bit irritating. But anyone who met Rick always came away with a story to tell. A Wausau native and owner of City Bike Works, Rick had many friends. He enjoyed ‘holding court’ at Loppnow’s, Chatterbox and Callon Street.
Rick was born September 14, 1959 in Wausau to the late Gordon and Mary (Jankovich) Walters. He was a graduate of Wausau West High School. Rick worked at Hammblow and then partnered with his brother, Dave in owning the bike shop, later becoming sole owner. He was a true Wisconsin sport fan and especially loved watching the Packers, even attending their Superbowl games. He enjoyed golfing and fishing with a passion for hunting. He hunted out West and was an expert with a bow.
At the age of 57, Rick passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 13, 2017.
Survivors include his sisters, Carol (Richard) Larson of LaCrosse, Betty Gardner of Wausau, June (Duane) Bonke of Merrill, brothers, Tom (Joan) Walters of Rib Mountain, Dave (Denise Travis) Walters of Wausau and many nieces and nephews. Rick was further preceded in death by a sister, Janet and a brother, Brian.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Church of St. Anne, 700 W. Bridge St., Wausau. Fr. Nate Kuhn will officiate. Homer R. Husband
Homer R. Husband, 91, of Rib Mountain, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, on Thursday, April 13, 2017.
He was born to the late Lewis and Edna (Gordon) Husband on January 22, 1926 in Meridian, Mississippi. Homer spent his childhood in Mississippi and decided to leave school early so he could enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. Over his 20 years of service he served during World War II and Korea. While he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, he met his future wife, Betty, and they were later married. Homer was also stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and in Hawaii. After three years in Hawaii, he returned to Camp Lejeune where he later retired.
After Homer’s military career, they decided to move to Wausau so they would be closer to Betty’s family. Homer began work at Schuette Metals. He also went on to work at American Can and Weyerhaeuser. Homer loved and enjoyed his family, especially time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening with Betty, camping and fishing up north, bowling, golf, and travelling.
Survivors include sons, Gary (Joan) of Naperville, IL, Gregg (Sharon) and Grant, both of Wausau; grandchildren, Alyce, Marie, Austin, and Salena; and nieces and nephews in Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 1995.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, 3010 Eagle Ave, Wausau (town of Rib Mountain), with Rev. Timothy Swanson officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas, with military honors provided by the U.S. Marine Corps and V.F.W. Burns Post #388.

Lucille E. Moberg
Lucille E. Moberg, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Medford, on April 13, 2017. She was born on November 24, 1929 in Wausau, daughter of the late August and Marie Treichel. On November 9, 1948, she married Lloyd Moberg Sr. in Wausau. Lloyd preceded Lucille in death in 1978.
Lucille attended Trinity Lutheran School where she was baptized and confirmed. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1948. In 1973, Lloyd and Lucille bought and operated the Country Inn Bar in Medford until she sold in 1990. She then worked in the office at Hall Distributing Co, retiring in 1996.
Lucille loved her children and extended family. She was very proud of what they each accomplished and felt she did a great job raising them. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her many talents included crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and other games, and working on puzzles. Her other passions included gardening (flowers and vegetables) as well as feeding and housing the birds. She valued animals of all kinds, especially her cats. Lucille was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Lucille is survived by her children: Judith Kraft, Appleton; Lloyd Jr., Stockton, NJ; Robert (Marian), Appleton; Kevin (Karen), Medford; Jolaine Braun, Stetsonville; Brian, Medford; Darla (Todd) Pitzke, Stetsonville; David (fiancé Jill Rector), Dorchester. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; Lucille’s siblings: Luella Mueller, Wausau; Lorraine (Roger) Sagstetter, Wausau; Diane Geisel, Onalaska; Lucille’s sisters/brother-in-law: Joyce Moberg, Marinette; Carol Marcott, Pewaukee; Patricia (Galen) Ellenbecker, Dorchester. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joanne; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Moberg; brother/sister-in-law, Norman & Diane Treichel; brother-in-law, Frank Mueller; in-laws, Harry & Johanna Moberg; brothers/sisters-in-law: Bernadine & Irving Jerabek; Donald Moberg; Clifford & Kathleen Moberg; Robert Marcott.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Aspirus VNA Extended Care, Aspirus Help at Home, and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services who supported mom at home during her illness.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Private family burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.

Irene Liebers
Irene Rose (Dake) Liebers, 101, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with family at her side.
She was born on August 15, 1915 in the town of Granite Heights, the daughter of Carl and Anna Dake. On May 4, 1935 she married Alfred C. Liebers at Mission Evangelical Free Church. Alfred preceded her in death in 198.
Alfred and Irene started their married lives on the farm and welcomed four children to their family. Within a few years Alfred joined the road crew and the family traveled with him. Over the next several years their lives included logging, farming, and eventually settling down to raising the family on the farm. Irene enjoyed baking, embroidery, word search puzzles, sewing hand-stitched quilts, playing cards, and putting puzzles together. She looked forward to family visits and until very recently always had baked goods ready to share. She has many five-generation pictures as she welcomed new members to the family.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Herman, Merrill, Arlene Krueger, Wausau, and Dennis (Jane), Appleton; a sister, Anna Mae Otto; and a brother, Robert Dake. She is further survived by grandchildren, Paul (Julie) Liebers, Mark (Pamela) Krueger, Joy (Donald) Zimmerman, Myron (Donna) Krueger, Fay (Jody) Sukow, Terri Liebers, Brian (Cindy) Liebers, Kim (Bruce) Steder, Nathan Betts, Mandy (Larry) Bernardie, and Jason Sorenson. Additional survivors include 23 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and one expected in September, as well as nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; her son, Ronald; two brothers, Carl Jr. and Earl; one sister, Hazel; one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and two great-granddaughters.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau. Friends and family may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mission Evangelical Church Cemetery, Town of Texas.

Alice “Peggy” M. Britten
Alice “Peggy” M. Britten, 93, Wausau, died Monday, April 17, 2017 under the care of Aseracare Hospice at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, Weston.
She was born October 6, 1923 in Wausau, daughter of the late Frederick and Agnes (Martini) Kimball. In 1951 she married Norbert Britten and he preceded her in death.
Alice worked at Menasha Products prior to her marriage and in the claims and reinsurance departments at Wausau Insurance for many years. She was a charter member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau and enjoyed reading, playing games and above all spending time with her family and friends. She cherished time spent with her two very special granddaughters.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Britten, Wausau and Therese (James) Muus, Siren; granddaughters, Britteny Muus, Elk River, Minnesota and Emily Muus, Siren; son-in-law, Michael Donohoe, Laurel, Maryland.
Besides her parents and husband, Norbert, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Donohoe, a brother, Frederick (Dorothy) Kimball and a sister, Maurine (John) Black.

Emma Brzezinski
Emma Brzezinski, 100, Wausau, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Benedictine Living Community, Wausau.
She was born December 19, 1916 in the town of Sharon in Portage County Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Susan (Bednarski) Windorski. On November 14, 1936, she married Leo Brzezinski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1998.

mma was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus and was a member of St. Catherine’s Council. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include, two sisters, Sadie Gruna, Galloway, Wis. and Dorothy Nowitzke, Wausau; two brothers, Philip Windorski, Schofield and Raymond (Rose) Windorski, Lancaster, Cal.; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Leo, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Leon; five brothers, Ted, Ben, Daniel, Hubert and David; and two sisters, Wanda Davidowski and Florence Cherek.

Daina Marie Lottice
Daina Marie Lottice, 32, Athens, WI went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2017.
She was born on June 3, 1984 in Bemidji, MN, the second daughter of Victor and Lisa Lottice. She enjoyed being home schooled with her siblings and graduated with her GED in 2002. She really liked being in the out doors at their home in the Northwoods of Minnesota, gardening, family camping trips, horse back riding and taking care of family pets, including raising German Shepherd puppies.
She loved being involved in her church and taking care of children – they were her special little friends.
Daina moved to Wisconsin with her family in 2007, where she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She always took so much joy in the little things in life. Going for walks with her German Shepherd, Ava, picking flowers, taking beautiful pictures of nature, gardening, caring for her small herd of Mini-Nubian dairy goats, and operating a sewing business with her sister. Everyone who knew Daina loved her humor and child-like faith in God and others. She trusted in Jesus with all her heart and wanted everyone else to have the same peace and joy that God gave to her.
Daina will always be greatly loved and missed by her parents, Victor & Lisa Lottice, Athens; Sister, Kari (Roy) Thorne, Athens; Brother, Victor Lottice, Edgar; Paternal grandparents, Frank & Sylvia Lottice, San Francisco, CA; Maternal Grandmother, Rita Dachauer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandmother, Helen Lottice, and her Maternal Grandfather, John Dachauer.

Grace Jansen
Grace M. Jansen, 80, Marathon, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born November 21, 1936 in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Sarah (Clark) Osterbrink. On June 22, 1955, she married Alvin Jansen at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He survives.
Grace and her husband Alvin farmed ginseng in the town of Rib Falls for many years. Some of her favorite pastimes included fishing, going to the casino, knitting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Jansen, Marathon, her children, Cathleen (Mike) Hargraves, Weston, Jean (Andy) Trudell, Tomahawk and James (Mary) Jansen, Wausau, her grandchildren, Jason (Becca) Hargraves, Michelle (Ken) Kaminski, Amy (Adam Frei) Langdon, Kristi Trudell and Ashley(Matt Hieronimus) Jansen and Kyle (Shelby Tessmer) Jansen, her great grandchildren, Bobbi and Brittany Hargraves and Leeland Kaminski and her two brothers, Marvin (Delores) Osterbrink, Wausau and Roger (Cindy) Osterbrink, Edgar and nieces and nephews.

Richard Borski
Richard L. Borski, 73, Wausau, died April 14, 2017.
Dick was born December 21, 1943 in Wausau, son of the late Anthony and Adeline (Krejci) Borski.
He served in the United States Marines in Vietnam. In 2016 he had the wonderful opportunity to go on the Honor Flight, to him it was the trip of a life time. Dick’s career was spent working for G.T.E. He was a life-long member of St. Michael Catholic Church and his faith was so very important to him.
Dick loved hunting with his cousins, fishing with his son and granddaughter. He enjoyed playing cribbage and was in many cribbage tournaments. Dick also loved the game of golf. Dick had a heart of gold, most of the time laughing, but also very soft hearted. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him.
Survivors include his son, Tom Borski, Wausau; granddaughter, Tirsa Borski; sister, Arlene (Roger) Kluever, Wausau; special friend, Arlene Mayer, Kronenwetter; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and countless friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald, sister, Joyce, brother-in-law, Andy and his nephew, Jeff.

John E. Stubbe
John E. Stubbe, 83, village of Maine, died peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
John was born March 9, 1934, son of the late Edwin and Emma (Marquardt) Stubbe. John graduated from Wausau High School in 1952. On June 2, 1956, he was united in marriage to Marlene Oelke. In July of that year, he was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country as a Military Policeman, living much of the two years near Nuremburg, Germany. Marlene and their young son, Johnny, joined him there in April of 1957. They returned home in June of 1958. John began farming, taking over the family dairy farm in 1960. After retiring in 1999, he worked for Van Der Geest Dairy for ten years, a job he truly enjoyed.
Spending time with family was most important to John. He also liked traveling, especially weekend trips and day trips “Up North”. Before declining health, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He had belonged to the Central Wisconsin Polka Club, Pommerscher Verein and Trailmates Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed playing sheepshead in card clubs, going to polka dances and Friday night fish frys.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, having held offices on the St. John Church Council. He was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood and enjoyed participating in church activities.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marlene; their sons, John (Valerie) of Athens, Mark (Mary), Joel (Keith Graveen) and Michael (Sara) all of Wausau; eight grandchildren, John Carl Stubbe of Withee, Samantha (fiancé Tyler Hamann) Stubbe of Menomonie, Shannon (Michael) Grosnick of Wausau, Brendon Stubbe of Monona, Marie Stubbe of Wausau, Emily Stubbe of Menomonie; and Kylie and Renner Stubbe, both of Wausau; three great-granddaughters, Emmalin, Zoey and Meredith Grosnick; three siblings, Marilyn Small of San Francisco, Richard (Sally) Stubbe of Athens, Emilie (David) Scheffler of Greenville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas and Nita Oelke; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant great-grandson, Stephen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, village of Maine. Rev. Dan Sire will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Montgomery Plant Dudley Post No. 10, Wausau.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Dorothy Wilson
Dorothy “Diane” Lawler Wilson, age 68 went to be with the lord on Monday, April 17, 2017.
She was born to RC and Dorothy (Scott) Lawler on August 1, 1949. Diane is survived by her children Michelle Carter, Willie (Ellen) Branham and Pete (Katie) Branham.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Whitley (Nick) Winstanley, Jordan Carr, Jack and Gracie Branham. She is survived by her brother Alek (Nellie) Lawler. She is further survived by extended family and friends. ?She was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings Darlene McCain, Rosie Bozeman and Theresa Hatfield.
She was a devoted member of her church, Inglewood Church of the Nazarene. She was a wonderful witness for our lord ensuring anyone that wanted to be in church had transportation. Her passion was witnessing to under privileged youth and providing them with the stability missing in their lives. ?She had a strong work ethic she instilled in her children. She retired from The Kroger Company after being a part of opening many of their stores in Tennessee. Part of her generous personality was to prepare wedding cakes and floral arrangements for family and friends as a wedding gift.
She will be laid to rest with her mother in Sheffield, AL. Memorial Service arrangements are pending.
Cecilia V McTavish
Cecilia V. McTavish, 88, of Rothschild passed away peacefully on April 16, 2017 with her loving family at her bedside.
She was born to John and Adolphine (Maternoski) Neta on 12-23-1928.
She is survived by her five sons; Dan (Connie) McTavish, Gene (Sue) McTavish, Bob (Jody) McTavish, Jim (Amy) McTavish, Greg (Michelle) McTavish, one daughter Sandy (John) O’Connor and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Don, one daughter Cathy and son-in-law (Bryan Hulstedt) McTavish, one sister Gen Lane and honorary Aunt Martha Pawlak.
Ceil loved cooking and baking for her family. She enjoyed trying new dishes, especially later in life. Baking, however, was one of the things she most enjoyed. Her chocolate chip cookies were legendary with friends and family, with or without nuts. She enjoyed making homemade birthday cakes (always decorated perfectly), cookies, and banana bread. Again, the banana bread was with, or without, nuts. Family and friends never left Ceil’s house hungry. She would always encourage friends to help themselves to a brownie, Hershey’s bar, cookies, etc. If you were having dinner with her, she would never fail to make one of her famous fruit salad recipes, ham, and mashed potatoes.Ceil also enjoyed knitting and sewing.
In years past, she would knit every child (or grandchild) a hat and matching set of mittens. If she was asked to teach anyone to knit, she would reminisce about her father being the one to teach her. She sewed many of her kids’ clothes, first out of necessity and later for enjoyment. People used to wonder how she could find ribbing to perfectly match the knit! It was her secret.Later in life, Ceil tapped her artistic ability and began making cards. One could say card making was not only her hobby, but her passion. She found great joy creating new designs for her cards.
Many people have offered condolences on her passing, and then remarked how much they enjoyed her cards. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, and major (or minor) holiday.
With Ceil, family always came first. So many people have shared stories with the family about her big heart, her gentle nature, and her kindness. We’ll miss you Mom / Grandma.
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Thursday, April 20, 2017 with visitation at 9:00a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Al Slowiak will be officiating. Dennis J. Flynn
Dennis J Flynn, 70, of Rhinelander passed away at Aspirus Hospice House on April 15, 2017 with his loving family at his bedside. He was born on December 23, 1946 to Raymond and Dorothy (Kalt) Flynn.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Ensslin) Flynn, one son Shawn (Jennifer) Flynn, one daughter Tara (Dan) Patridge, two grandchildren Morgan and Ellery Patridge and one sister Dee Dee (Denny) Hering. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was a fun loving, generous, and down to earth man. He was dedicated to his wife of 46 years, his children, and grandchildren. He was a beloved son to his parents and brother to his younger sister. He was a true “car guy” and shared that love with family and friends. He loved to travel by land, sea, or sky and was always up for an adventure. Fishing, boating, and beach combing were a few other passions. He was always very proud of his 26 years of sobriety and found spirituality in his program. He always called himself a legend in his own mind but now he is a true legend to those who knew and loved him.
He will forever be missed.
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Rothschild on Friday, April 21, 2017 with Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Father Al Slowiak will be officiating.
