MERRILL – Charges are pending against a 44-year-old Tomahawk man in connection with a string of church burglaries in Lincoln County, police said.
Jon Schenk, Jr., was arrested Friday after police fond him with stolen property from the burglaries, which happened over Easter weekend. Stolen property from other Lincoln County burglaries was also found in a search of Schenk’s home, police said.
Police suspect Schenk was involved in as many as a dozen burglaries. An investigation is ongoing.
No official charges have yet been filed.
