WAUSAU — A section of the River Edge Trail between Barker Stewart Island Bridge and River Drive will be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic beginning Monday, June 12.
The closure is necessary to complete the remaining bridge restoration, install concrete sidewalk and apply the final layer of asphalt, city officials said.
The trail is expected to reopen after three weeks.
