The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of a pedestrian who was killed in a crash late Friday, July 21.
Police said Daniel Yonke, 55, of Waupaca was walking down the middle of Hwy. 54 in the town of Farmington at about 10 p.m. when he was struck and killed by an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 17-year-old Waupaca resident, was not injured.
Hwy. 54 was closed to traffic for nearly three hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
