STEVENS POINT — Three people have been injured in two separate crashes in an 8-hour span in Stevens Point, police said Friday.
The first crash, at 5 p.m. Thursday on West River Drive, was a single vehicle crash in which a 16-year-old driver struck a tree, police said. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle and was eventually flown to an area hospital for treatment.
Police did not specify the severity of the teen’s injuries.
The second crash, involving a motorcycle, happened less than 8 hours later, just before 1 a.m. Police said the 37-year-old driver of the motorcycle struck a deer on North Point Drive.
Both the driver and his 22-year-old passenger were injured and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
No names have yet been released.
