WAUSAU — Two people are in custody after a SWAT team forced entry into a home Friday morning on Wausau’s east side.

Witnesses tell Wausau Pilot and Review that members of the SWAT team broke a front window at the Stark Street home to enter. One man was seen in handcuffs after the crew was forced to break in.

Police say they went to the home at 10:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of Stark Street for a drug related search warrant. SWAT was used due to a report of weapons inside the home, according to Wausau Police Capt. Ben Graham.

A man and a woman were taken into custody on drug related charges, Graham said.

An investigation is continuing.
