PORT EDWARDS — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered Sunday in the Wisconsin River near Port Edwards.
The man’s identity has not yet been determined.
Police were called Sunday to an area north of the Centralia Dam in Wood County, according to a news release. An autopsy is planned to determine how the man died.
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department, Port Edwards Police Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Wood County Coroner assisted the sheriff’s department.
