LAC DU FLAMBEAU — A man whose body was discovered last week in a Vilas County lake has been identified as Antonio Monserrate Roche, according to tribal police.

Roche, 24, was last seen May 5, according to the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police. Roche’s father reported him missing May 13.

The body was found at about 10 a.m. May 17 in Pokegama Lake, police said. The Wisconsin State Patrol conducted an air search over water and land in the days leading up to the discovery with assistance from the Dept. of Natural Resources and the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Police say no suspicious circumstances are evident surrounding the death. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
