TOWN OF BUENA VISTA — One person is dead following a crash in the Portage County town of Buena Vista, police said.
The crash was reported at about 7 p.m. Thursday on CTH J. The victim has been identified as Dylan Heck, a 20-year-old Almond man.
An initial investigation shows Heck, who was wearing a helmet, struck a utility pole and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles or passengers were involved, police said.
Speed is a possible factor in the crash, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Department. The crash remains under investigation.
