PLAINFIELD — One person is dead and three people are seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash Sunday, according to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department.

Crews were called at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday to the crash on Hwy. 73 near Aniwa Road in Plainfield. A preliminary investigation shows a northbound 2007 Saturn Aura crossed the center line and struck a southbound Kia Sorento head on, according to police.

A 23-year-old Greendale woman, a passenger in the Saturn, died at the scene. The 24-year-old Oshkosh man driving the Saturn was transported to a Neenah hospital with serious injuries, police said. The 50-year-old man driving the Kia Sorento and his 55-year-old female passenger, both of Wautoma, were transported to Marshfield Medical Center with serious injuries.
