715 Delivery launched in October 2015 as an independent food delivery service. Co-owner Shar Bruder, who handles marketing and restaurant acquisition for the business, said Bite Squad will be a perfect fit for Wausau and Eau Claire’s growing markets.

“What it will mean for the customer is faster delivery times, lower fees and better customer service,” said Bruder, who intends to stay on through the transition and beyond. “The technology will make it easier for the restaurants and just better overall. I’m really excited to see the service grow, and I really believe in this company.”

In the past, drivers for 715 Delivery were independent contractors. That will change with the transition, as Bite Squad plans to hire multiple fully-uniformed, trained employee drivers to ensure professionalism, reliability and timeliness.

“715 Delivery customers can expect the same great service, but with the added benefit of our advancing technology,” said Salehi. “Our delivery model helps ensure that customers’ food arrives in the best possible condition.”

Bite Squad has been working with the 715 Delivery team to transition their existing local operations to the Bite Squad platform. Enhancements to the new service include a top-rated consumer app with live order tracking to keep customers updated on where their food is and when it will arrive; a live chat support team for real-time help; and no order minimums.

In 2012, entrepreneurs Kian Salehi and Arash Allaei, saw a need in their hometown community of Minneapolis for an easy, fast and affordable way to order delivery from all the wonderful restaurants in town. With years of restaurant experience under their belts, the pair decided to do something about it and Bite Squad was born.

Bite Squad has expanded into more than 50 new cities nationwidein 2018. The company is seeing sustained year-over-year double-digit growth.

“Having this service in Wausau is going to be great for our restaurants and our customers,” Bruder said.

The Wausau and Eau Claire service areas will launch in the coming weeks. Customers can order Bite Squad seven days a week. Orders can be placed on the Bite Squad app or website, www.bitesquad.com.
