RIB MOUNTAIN — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of stealing a cell phone from a victim in the town of Rib Mountain.

According to Marathon County Crime Stoppers, the alleged victim finished shopping at a Rib Mountain Drive store at around 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 and accidentally left her cell phone by the register.

Surveillance video showed an order white man with a beard and mustache wearing a blue shirt and baseball style cap pick up the phone and leave the store with it. The man, who had some type of bracelet on his right wrist, was seen leaving in a gray minivan, according to the Crime Stoppers report.
