BARRON, Wis. — A 32-year-old man is facing criminal charges after allegedly breaking into home of a missing Barron teen and stealing items of her clothing.

Kyle Jaenke-Annis, of Cameron, was arrested early Saturday at the home where James and Denise Closs were found dead. The Closs’s daughter, 13-year-old Jayme, has been missing since their deaths.

Police say they were notified by motion-activated cameras that Jaenke-Annis entered the Closs home at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday through a patio door. The cameras were installed during the investigation into the couple’s death and the teen’s disappearance.

On arrival, police ordered Jaenke-Annis out of the home and recovered several items he had taken from inside. The items included two tank tops, a dress and underwear.

When asked why he had stolen these specific items, Jaenke-Annis allegedly said he believed these were items that “people wouldn’t miss” and he was “curious what size Jayme was.”

Jaenke-Annis faces charges of burglary and felony bail jumping for committing a new crime in violation of bond. Jaenke-Annis had previously been released from jail on bond for a burglary charge, which remains an open case.
