WAUSAU — Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” will welcome Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra’s executive director Mara Prausa and conductors Patrick Miles and Andres Moran for a behind-the-scenes look at the symphony and its 70th anniversary season at 10 a.m. Dec. 27.

Prausa, Miles and Moran join host Rick Reyer to discuss this year’s transitions in leadership, their work with and vision for the symphony and the role of classical music in central Wisconsin. During the 2018-2019 season, the symphony is celebrating its 70th anniversary, “Legends and Legacies.”

Moran, currently principle horn for the symphony, will assume the music director and conductor role starting in the 2019-2020 season. The CWSO also has a new executive director, Prausa. She joined the symphony in June, following the leadership of executive director Ann Huntoon. The show will feature selections from recent Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra concerts.
