WESTON – Marathon Ginseng International, Inc. has promoted Denis Tan to vice president of operations, the company announced this week.
Tan joined the company full time in January 2018 as a marketing manager. He also took on the farm manager role in May 2018. Tan’s duties included online marketing, collaboration with local communities and ensuring the ginseng plants remained healthy in the company’s gardens.
“Denis has greatly helped us grow in many ways,” said Ming Tao Jiang, Marathon Ginseng’s CEO, in a news release. “In his new role, Denis will oversee all aspects of Marathon Ginseng’s operations.”
Tan’s new responsibilities include annual budgeting, development and implementation of strategies and employee training.
Tan is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He has held middle and upper management positions at various companies including Footlocker.com/Eastbay. Tan is also a board member at the Rotary Club of Wausau.
