PORTAGE COUNTY — The body of a missing Stevens Point-area man missing since Saturday has been found, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Department.
Gary Mayek, 39, was last seen at about 9 p.m. Jan. 5 in the village of Plover, police said.
Investigators reached out to the public to help find the man, but announced on Jan. 10 Mayek’s body was discovered Wednesday in a rural part of the county.
No additional details have been released, but police say an autopsy is underway.
