The Marathon County Public Library will host several events in the coming weeks at its various libraries.


All ages can celebrate winter with a fun afternoon of crafting snowflakes on Jan. 22 from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Make snowflakes with paper or with pipe cleaners and beads. Free. Call 715-693-2144 for more info.

Visit the Marathon County Public Library for Origami Week from Jan. 22-26 at its Rothschild Branch, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild. Kids, tweens and teens can stop in any time the branch is open to make a variety of origami creations, with all supplies provided. Free. For more info, call 715-359-6208.


NEW! The library will host its monthly Family Game Day on Jan. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at its Rothschild Branch, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild. Folks of any age can visit the library to play a variety of board games and card games against friends, family members or others at the library! Future dates include Feb. 23, March 30 and April 27. NEW! Adults can learn how to use Microsoft Excel during a free class on Jan. 28 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
