Katherine Will
Katherine (Kate) Will of Weston passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at the age of 92. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Kate married Donald Will on Sept. 14, 1946. They enjoyed many years of retirement, spending summers in Wausau with family and friends and more than 30 winters in Sun City, Arizona. Together, they had two children: Kay (Dennis) Brandenburg and Mike (Elsa) Will. They had three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Kate worked for many pharmacies in Wausau over the years and was head housekeeper at Howard Johnson’s for 10 years, until retirement. Don and Kate came back to Wausau three years ago and lived at Renaissance Assisted Living in Weston. Kate will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be private family services at a later date. Brainard Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruth Ziegel
Ruth F. Ziegel, 84, of Wausau passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, after a short illness, on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born Nov. 29, 1934, in the town of Frankfort, daughter of the late August and Albina (Loskot) Giese. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Ervin Ziegel Jr., and together they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Ruth worked for Marathon Electric before transitioning to homemaking and housekeeping. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Wausau. For 49 years, she was a member of the Trailmates Snowmobile Club and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Wausau.
Her favorite pastimes included bird-watching, baking and gardening.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ervin, and their two daughters, Lori (husband Mike) and their son, Joe, and Sherri (partner Mark); her sister, Ethel; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Imogene, Janice, Florence and Jerry, Ken and Bev, Rosie and Dave; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra; sister, LaVerna; brother, Leonard; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Wally, Wyman and Isabelle, Elton and Carol, Ivan, Carl, and Eugene.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Ken Albers will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ruth’s name.

Loretta Beilke
Loretta Leona Beilke went to be with her heavenly father on Feb. 10, 2019. She was born on Nov. 2, 1934, in the town of Wausau to the late Paul and Leona (Heckendorf) Zemke. She was baptized on Nov. 18, 1934, by Reverend Spiegel and confirmed on Palm Sunday, April 10, 1949, by Reverend Erwin Seidel of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Wausau.
She married the true love of her life, Gordon A. Beilke, on June 16, 1962. The Lord blessed their lives with three precious children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Loretta enjoyed listening to Carol play piano and the quartet, Living River. he thanks Joel and Gordon for all their help as she carried her cross of severe arthritis. When she was able, she loved to go for walks, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was a former Ladies’ Aid member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Naugart, served as secretary for many years and also belonged to the homemaker’s club “The Kitchen Kookies.”
Loretta is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Carol Beilke (Gary Pawlak) of Hanover Park, Illinois; son, Richard (Tammy) Beilke of Wausau; grandchildren, Caleb (Sarah) Beilke of Merrill, Alyssa Beilke of Wausau, Chase (Jamie) Beilke of Athens, and Shane Beilke (fiancée, Gabri Fowler) of Wausau; great-grandsons, Damien Beilke and Brooks Beilke; brother, Kenneth (Sonia) Zemke of Marathon; sister, Leona Zemke of Wausau; sister-in-law, Helen Beilke of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and brother-in-law, Duane Goetsch of Wausau.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Beilke of Merrill; brothers, Albert (Suzy) Zemke and Wilbur (Kathy) Zemke, both of Wausau; sisters, Arlene (Stanley) Adams, Darlene (LeRoy) Roeder, and Irene (Herman) Ninneman, all of Wausau; brother-in-law, Wallace Beilke of Boulder Junction, Colorado; and sister-in-law, Myrna Goetsch of Wausau.
A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Naugart (town of Berlin) with Rev. Joel Willitz officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Roger Adelmeyer
Roger Frank Adelmeyer, 91, Wausau (formerly of Wauwatosa), died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Azura Memory Care in Rib Mountain under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Roger was born Jan. 4, 1928, in the town of Theresa, Wisconsin, to the late Louis and Laura (Sterr) Adelmeyer. Following high school, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II. While serving in Austria, Roger met Edith Reisz and the couple was married on Jan. 25, 1950, in Vienna. The couple returned to the United States following his discharge from the Army and resided in the Milwaukee area. Roger founded Adelmeyer Tool, a tool and die business, that quickly became a family operation, and trained many apprentices over many years of service. Roger and Edith celebrated 64 loving years together prior to her death on Aug. 28, 2014.
Roger was a good man and father; he deeply loved his family and cared for Edith during her later years and his son, Roger, who referred to his dad as his “hospice nurse” during his battle with cancer. He also had a great sense of humor and was lovingly nicknamed “sassy pants” by his granddaughter, Kari. Roger was a faithful member of American Legion Post 490 in Milwaukee for 44 years and also was an active member of the Austrian Club and regularly participated in Germanfest for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his garden, canning the fruits and vegetables of his labor, making sausage and wine, hunting, fishing and ballroom dancing with his wife Edith. While serving in the Army, Roger played baseball, which grew into a lifelong love for the game and he became an avid Braves and Brewers fans after his return to the U.S.
Roger is survived by his beloved daughter, Sylvia (Dieter) Stolp; granddaughters, Christy (Marc) Klobucnik and Kari (Jim) Klobucnik; great-grandchildren, Devin, Arianna, Anthony, Cody and Derek; brothers, Louis (Sally) Adelmeyer and Robert Adelmeyer; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Roger James Adelmeyer.
The funeral service for Roger will be at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at First Baptist Church, 1500 Roman Road, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Rev. Chris Juvinall from Wausau Bible Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. He will be interred at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. John Anderson
John E. Anderson, 72, of Rothschild passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Cedar Creek Manor in Mosinee.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1946, in Escanaba, Michigan, to the late Edmond and Margaret (Boileau) Anderson. John was a 1966 graduate of Escanaba High School. He received a degree in economics from UW-Stevens Point. He played football and acted in plays while in high school. On April 10, 1975, he was married to Joy Johnson in Wausau.
John had worked at Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill in Rothschild for 35 years. He and Joy also owned Health Touch Spa, Health Touch School of Massage and Peaceful Pet Groomer. He was a longtime member of Ascension Episcopal Church in Merrill. John and Joy were presenters for Marriage Encounter at St. Anthony’s Retreat Center in Marathon.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Anderson; son, Damon “DJ” (Teresa) Anderson; stepson, Cory (Erin) Breunig; grandsons, Brandon and Nick; granddaughter, Leah; great-granddaughters, Tesslyn, Brynly and Nazhia; sister, Regina (Tina) Brown; sisters-in-law, Nancy Schulz, Kathleen (Mike) Slavin and Linda (Earl) Schmidt; many nieces and nephews; and his pets, Mia, Callie, Patches and Butterscotch.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Anderson; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Anderson; brother, Joseph Anderson; and brother-in-law, John Brown.
The family thanks the staff at Cedar Creek Manor for their kind and compassionate care of John. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in John’s name.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at the John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave. in Schofield. The Rev. Linda Schmidt will officiate. Patrick Madden
While in the Air Force in Minot, North Dakota, Pat met and married Lyla Huber on Oct. 10, 1964, in Lemmon, South Dakota. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin, where they lived for a couple of years. They then moved to Wausau, where Pat worked for the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department. He began his employment with them on March 16, 1966, as a deputy sheriff. He retired on June 1, 1995. He spent his entire career in the patrol division and held the rank of sergeant upon retirement. For many years, he coordinated the boat and snowmobile patrol and taught safety classes. After retirement he also did security and delivery work.
Patrick owned several vintage cars and attended many old car shows. He also owned and rode motorcycle, traveling extensively over the years. Getting together with family and friends was always special to him.
His wife, Lyla, preceded him in death on July 3, 2016; along with his parents.
He is survived by his sister Kathleen Madden; and brother Michael Madden; along with many nieces, nephews; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; plus a very good friend Jeffrey Burnett.
