WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
Rothschild, Wis. — A Wausau woman who was wanted by police was injured Saturday after jumping from a second-story motel room window in an apparent effort to evade arrest.
Officers responded at about non Saturday to the Econo Lodge in Rothschild after receiving a report that two people wanted by police were inside. When they arrived, one occupant of the room, later identified as 25-year-old Jordan Skar, of Wausau, exited the room and ultimately surrendered at gunpoint. Skar was not one of the two people wanted by police, but he was arrested on drug charges after police allegedly found methamphetamine in his clothing.
As Skar exited the room, two people jumped from the window in an apparent escape attempt. Police say 37-year-old Crystal Taylor was injured in the fall and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The severity of her injuries was not specified.
Taylor’s companion, 30-year-old Tyler Perkins, of Mosinee, ran from the motel but was discovered hiding beneath a car in a nearby parking lot, police said. Both Taylor and Perkins had active warrants for their arrest.
Taylor faces felony bail jumping charges filed Tuesday, March 19 in Marathon County Circuit Court. She is also facing escape charges in a case filed Feb. 6.
