TOWN OF FRANKFORT, Wis. — The victim in a March 18 crash that shut down a portion of Hwy. 97 for hours has been identified as 67-year-old Angela Mroczenski, of Edgar.

The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Hwy. 97 and CTH N in the town of Frankfort.

According to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department crash report, Mroczenski’s Chevrolet Tahoe struck a semi tractor trailer driven by a 50-year-old West Salem man. Mroczenski, who was wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle, died of her injuries, according to the report.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Investigators shut down all lanes of traffic on Hwy. 97 for about five hours

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected factors in the crash, police said.
