WAUSAU — The Wausau RiverWolves will participate in the 2019 NA3HL Draft starting at 5 p.m. April 18.

Wausau owns the seventh overall pick in the first round of the eight-round draft. In total, the RiverWolves have nine selections after an additional seventh-round pick was acquired via trade last July from the Gillette Wild.

Head Coach Colin Bailey is looking forward to adding quality talent to the 2019-2020 squad.

“A lot of work has been put in while preparing for the draft and we are excited to bring in players that fit with our program,” Bailey said in a news release.

Last year, Wausau selected forward Rollie Carlson with their first round pick. Carlson went on to lead the team in points during the 2018-19 season with 44. Fans can watch live round-by-round coverage on HockeyTV or follow the draft online at NA3HLDraft.com.

Amateur players younger than 21 years of age on Dec. 31, 2019, who are not listed on an NA3HL team roster or are listed on an NA3HL team roster but played less than 10 NA3HL regular season and/or playoff games during the 2018-19 season and did not accept a tender from an NA3HL team prior to the 2019 NA3HL Entry Draft are eligible for selection in the draft.
