Jenny McKenzie, transportation manager at North Central Health Care, spoke about transportation service for veterans at the Veterans Weekly Cup of Coffee group meeting at Denny’s on April 10.
The Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee meets every Wednesday at Denny’s in Rothschild from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All veterans of any age or era are welcome. The DAV van travels to all the Veterans Affairs hospitals in Wisconsin, including Madison, Milwaukee and Tomah, as well as VA clinics and other medical facilities that have been approved for veterans who need a ride. There is no cost to use the van and it is not wheelchair accessible. Contact Rose Williams at 608-504-1313 for more details.
