in Biz Briefs

WAUSAU ─ Gardening in north central Wisconsin can be complex, especially when winter lasts longer than we expect it to. Wisconsin Public Radio “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes master gardeners Sharon Omernik and Pat Mroczinski for the annual gardening show, offering tips for best growing practices in north central Wisconsin, at 10 a.m. May 2.

Both guests, who are members of the Portage County Master Gardeners Association, will offer tips and answer questions from listeners about growing flowers, shrubs, vegetables and trees in our often-inclement northern climate.

“Route 51” airs at 10 a.m. on Thursdays. The Ideas Network stations 101.3 & 91.9/Wausau, AM 930/Auburndale-Stevens Point, 99.1/Stevens Point, 100.9/Marshfield, 90.3/Park Falls, 89.1/Adams-Wisconsin Rapids, and 89.9/Rhinelander-Eagle River. It is re-broadcast Fridays at 7 p.m. on 90.9/Wausau. Program archives are available at wpr.org/route51.
