WESTON — Students and school staff members will run with cops June 1 during the first ever 10K with a Cop Central Wisconsin event.
The 5K/10K race will be held at 9 a.m. at D.C. Everest Middle School in Weston and use the Mountain-Bay State Trail.
The race culminates six months of training that involved students and staff members from D.C. Everest Middle School in Weston and the South Mountain Elementary School in Rib Mountain. They trained with officers of the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Everest Metro Police Department.
The event will be open to the public in the future.
