Edward Schubring
Edward T. Schubring, 72, of Weston died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Edward was born on Aug. 1, 1946, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to the late James and Joan (Melchior) Schubring. He graduated from DePadua High school in Ashland and went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He then attended Northcentral Technical College in Wausau and worked as a designer. Edward was a passionate hunter and outdoorsman.
Edward is survived by his siblings Andrew Schubring of Skamania, Washington, Matthew Schubring of Mexico City, Mexico, and Mary (James) O’Callaghan of Walnut Creek, California.
He is preceded in death by his brother Michael.
Burial will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery in Ashland, Wisconsin, at a later date.
Robyn Hillman
Robyn Hillmann, 57, left this life June 8, 2019 for a better life. She passed on under the care of Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau WI after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau on Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 5-7pm and again on Monday July 8, 2019 from 1-3pm at the Fence Town Hall, Fence WI.
Robyn was born on May 10, 1962 in Iron Mountain Michigan to Robert and Carma Schaumann, the oldest of four children. The family lived in Armstrong Creek WI and Robyn graduated from Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School in 1980 as Salutatorian of her class and later Fox Valley Technical School, Appleton WI with an Associate Degree in Interior Design. She used her degree working for the Wausau JC Penney in the custom drapery department when she decided to become a nanny, first in Wausau and later in Chicago. Robyn spent a total of 17 years in Chicago and then returned to Wausau and worked at Eastbay/Footlocker as a Team Leader.
Robyn lived most recently in the Wausau East Apartments and she loved the history of the building and sharing her apartment on a Marathon County Historical Society tour of homes. She had many interests and was an avid quilter (yes Robyn, you DID die with the most fabric, you won!), gardening, traveling, and children. She was an active member of Jaycees during her time in Wausau and was President of the local Jaycees and served on both the state and national organizations in various capacities. Robyn had a kind and gentle spirit and an infectious laugh. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Schaumann, and Grandparents, Jim and Irene Weinfurter and Richard and Evelyn Schaumann.
She is survived by her mother Carma Schaumann, sisters Jody Kratky (Hank), Shelley Schaumann, brother Stewart Schaumann, and stepson Zachary Hillmann. Robyn has many cousins; Marelene, Donnie, Mark, Mickey Sue, Patti, Mike, Jeanne, Tom, Sharon, Beth, Jim, Anne, Mary, John, Todd, Leesa, Keri, Eric, Amy and Kim.
Also, Robyn is beloved by the children that she nannied: Augusta Prehn DeVries, Fritz, Aurora, Harrison Prehn and Robert, Courtney and Carleigh Connelly.
The family would like to thank Dr Rezazadeh and his staff, the nurses at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the staff at Aspirus Hospice House for their care and compassion.
Julie Holbrook
The morning of Saturday, June 8, 2019, Julie Holbrook, loving wife and mother of six passed peacefully away at the young age of 54.
Julie was born July 11, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Donna Hein, then, shortly after, was adopted by Bill and June Neibling. On May 26, 1985, Julie married her husband, Paul Holbrook. They raised three sons and three daughters: Adam, Tyler, Elijah, Shelby, Cassandra and Vickie.
Growing up, Julie truly lived life to the fullest by swimming, spending summers fishing at the lake cottage and giving her mother, June, a run for her money.
Julie had many jobs in her life from raising her kids and homeschooling for a better part of 10 years to, most recently, working for Associated Bank.
Her hobbies were spending time with her family, Bible study with her lifelong friends from Highland Community Church, singing, occasionally embarrassing her kids by yelling, “I love the moon!,” having back yard camp fires, going on beer- and wine-tasting tours with her devoted husband, biking, and hosting many get-togethers.
Julie was known for her infectious personality, her giving attitude, seeing the light in any situation and her ability to always be there when you need her and sometimes when you didn’t realize you did. Julie found joy in the small things in life. She will always be a shining example of what a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend should be. She was able, through her journey in life, to touch many different people in a deep and positive way.
Julie is finally pain free after a courageous 19-year battle with cancer and left behind a legacy that no one will ever match or forget. She continued to demonstrate unwavering faith and joy throughout her struggles which led many people to Christ by her inspiring example.
Julie is preceded in death by her birth mother, Donna Hein.
Julie is survived by her adopted parents, Bill and June Neibling; her husband of 35 years, Paul Holbrook; and their kids, Adam Holbrook (wife Nurita McGlone), Tyler Holbrook (wife Alyssa Krueger), Elijah Holbrook, Shelby Nead (husband Jordan), Cassandra Salber (husband Dustin), Vickie Hovel (husband Austin); her sister, RaeLynn Mielke; her half-sister, Tracy Hein; her stepbrother, Todd Hein; and grandkids, Charlotte Holbrook, Peyton Holbrook, Emerson Holbrook, Jaxon Holbrook, Scarlett Nead, Kendall Salber, and soon to be granddaughter Everlie Hovel.
Her celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Highland Community Church, 1005 N 20th Ave, Wausau, WI 54401 at 3 p.m. Feel free to join for the service, then after to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.

Arlene Feck
Arlene, a strong independent woman, passed away on June 7, 2019, after a brief illness. She was 90 years old and felt that she had a good and long life.
Arlene was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on April 8, 1929. She was a member of a large family and is survived by her siblings: Eleanor (Phil) Halkowski, Carol (Gary) Oslage, Dennis (Kay) Hawley, and Janet Abt. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brothers: Wallace Hawley, Eleanor Hawley, Jerry Hawley, Neil Hawley, Roy Hawley, Donald Hawley, Wallace Hawley and Loren Hawley.
Arlene married the love of her life, Bill Feck, June 10, 1953. They were married for 62 years when Bill passed away. They had six children, all of whom survive. The children are: Kathy (Al) Kowalchyk, Beth (Tom) Hoss, Barb Westerdyk, Jeff (Deb) Feck, Pat (Lori) Feck, and Jami (Bryan) Stuettgen. She was lucky to have many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The grandchildren are: Alyssa (Matt) Lucas, Kristin Kowalchyk, Cara Kowalchyk, Bren Westerdyk, Stacy (Kevin) Cline, Katie (Nick) Meisner, Kelly (Peter) Blank, Melissa Grueschow, Ben Feck, Mitch Feck, Brett Feck, Kelsi Stuettgen and Taylor Stuettgen. The great grandchildren are: Trever Zunker, Ethan Zunker, Trenton Cline, Maddie Meisner, Isabel Meisner, Brody Blank, Harper Grueschow, Levi Grueschow, Mason Stuettgen, and Grace Stuettgen.
Arlene was known as a very intelligent person. She loved doing crossword puzzles and reading. She was a good cook and a fountain of good advice. She loved fishing and spending time with Bill at the Willow Flowage.
A Celebration of Life event will be held at Bunkers, 1001 Golf Club Road, Wausau, on Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
