Question: Why did you choose UW-Stevens Point at Wausau?
Answer: It’s convenient, close to home, and I save money while I’m taking general education courses.
Q: What surprised you the most when you arrived on campus?
A: The rigor of the courses.
Q: Why did you choose your program/major?
A: I did best in the sciences in high school and am most curious about jobs in the science field.
Q: What are you learning about your career field that you find interesting or rewarding?
A: Science is around us every day, and it’s interesting how it can be applied to everything.
Q: In addition to being a college student, what takes up your free time?
A: I work at Whitewater Music Hall in Wausau as a barista, hang out with friends and try to participate in theater, play guitar, sports and video games.
Q: Who has been your favorite professor or staff member?
A: Retired philosophy professor Doug Hosler. He gave really good help on assignments and made the class fun.
Q: What do you plan to do after UW-Stevens Point at Wausau?
A: Either transfer to another school in the UW System or continue my college education out of state.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for incoming students?
A: Take advantage of the smaller campus by using the resources readily available here compared to a larger campus.
