Two roads on Wausau’s southeast side will close next week as crews replace sewer siphon lines across the Wisconsin River, according to a city news release issued Friday.

As part of the project to replace sanitary sewer interceptor lines, Memorial Park Road will be closed for about two weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 30. Much of Sturgeon Eddy Road, from Wisconsin Street to Weston Avenue, will close on Oct. 7 and will remain closed for a minimum of six weeks.

Traffic will be detoured at Wisconsin Street on the north end of the project and at Weston Avenue on the south side of the project.

Residents with questions are encouraged to call Wausau’s engineering department at 715-261-6740.
