Harold “Harry” Jahsmann
Harold “Harry” Jahsmann Jr., 71, Minocqua/Wausau, died Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Rennes Health in Weston.
He was born March 31, 1948, in Wausau, the son of Arlene (Bopf) Jahsmann and Harold Jahsmann Sr. He married Joreen Petri on August 26, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. She survives.
He graduated from Wausau High School in 1966 and continued his education at NCTI, graduating in 1969 with a degree in Residential Design. He started his career in commercial construction with Urban Steel Buildings and continued with Wimmer Construction. He then went on to co-found United Structures Inc. and was President until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and most of all traveling with his wife and cherished Yorkshire Terrier, Chester. Thousands of miles were covered in their Newmar Dutchstar as well as their touring motorcycle; Harry most often leading the way as they crossed the country with friends. Las Vegas was also one of his most favored destinations.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a dear friend. Survivors, besides his wife Joreen include his two daughters, Stacey (John) Morache, Wausau, and Wendy Jahsmann (Amy Paloranta), Tomahawk, three grandsons, Dominic, Max and Tyler Morache, and two Teddy Bears pups, “the boys,” Trooper and Ranger.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Charles Heise
Charles R. Heise, 86, passed away Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 in Madison, WI.
Charles Roger (Chuck) was born April 30th, 1933 in Rib Falls, WI to the late Lawrence and Frieda (Hohndorf) Heise. Growing up in Rib Falls he attended Hillside grade school and graduated from Marathon High School (Class of 1950). Chuck then enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1952-1956, for which he was very proud. After his honorable discharge from the military, he attended college at UW LaCrosse (Class of 1960). He was married in 1964 and settled in Rib Mountain, eventually residing in Kronenwetter for many years where he raised his family. Chuck moved to Madison last year to be closer to his son. He was employed as a sales rep for Merrill Distributing Company for 30 years until his retirement. More recently, Chuck also worked for the Handleman Company and the Wausau Daily Herald newspaper.
Chuck was hard working but also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his children and grandchildren. He loved gathering with family at holidays and special events. His interests included reading, being outdoors gardening and fishing with his family in LaCrosse and northern Wisconsin. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, closely following the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. In addition, Chuck was a member of the Wausau VFW Burns Post 388, and past member of the Wausau Moose Lodge 1576.
His survivors include his sons Chuck (Heather), Madison, WI and Jamie, Hayward, WI; Grandchildren Grace and Benjamin; Brothers Ronald and Gaylon (Shirley), both of Wausau, and sister Mattie (Norman), of Schofield; And nieces and nephews Julie (Brian) and Randy; Justin (Samantha); Cindy, Wanda (Joe) and Brian (Angie).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa in 2012, and his older sister Elaine (Arthur) Steidinger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 30th at Rib Falls United Methodist Church, Rib Falls, WI. Burial will be in Rib Falls Methodist Church Cemetery, with Military Honors accorded by the Wausau VFW Burns Post 388 and the State of Wisconsin Military Honors Team. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home in Weston, and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Joan Mulhollon
Joan Celeste Mulhollon, 76, of Wausau, passed away on September 22, 2019 at Wausau Manor.
Joan was born on October 27, 1942 in Milwaukee to the late Jack and Delores (Schneider) Mulhollon. She graduated in 1960 from Hartland High School and was employed at Wausau Papers for more than 30 years.
Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was an avid doll collector, including collecting hummels. She also loved to travel and work on jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Zwicky of Wausau; son, Jon Zwicky of Iron River; and grandchildren Rachel (Andrew) Yach of Wausau, Joshua (Rachel) Zwicky of Iron River, Travis (Erica) Zwicky of Clara City, and Camron Zwicky of Shawano. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren.

Ralph Mirman
Ralph Mirman, of Wausau, WI and Palm Springs, CA, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 22, 2019.
He was born in Wausau, WI on March 25, 1921 to the late Jacob and Anna (Blackman) Mirman. He joined the United States Army on June 30, 1941 and served his country honorably until June 11, 1946. He was decorated with the Meritorious Service Unit Insignia, and American Campaign Medal; as well as the World War II Victory Medal. Ralph graduated with his Bachelor Degree from UW Madison and his Master’s from University of PA.
While stationed in Salt Lake City, Ralph met Ruth Cline. They were married on July 23, 1946 and subsequently moved to Wausau, WI.
Ralph was a well-known business leader and owner and operator of Mirman’s Furniture Store in downtown Wausau for 57 years. He was widely respected for his friendly manner and the interest he showed in his family, customers, community, and congregation.
Some of his greatest accomplishments were creating an endowment and capital donation fund for Mt. Sinai congregation, revitalization of the Hebrew Cemetery, driving the relocation of the congregation, development of the plan for the economic revitalization of downtown Wausau. The effort of this group of visionaries led to building one of the first enclosed, downtown shopping malls in a small city — known as the Wausau Center. Quietly working behind the scenes, Ralph was widely credited for his vision, unselfish dedication of his time, and his ability to get people of diverse backgrounds and interests to work collaboratively.
Leading up to and in his retirement years, Ralph spent many hours on the golf course and tennis court, where he met some of his best friends.
Ralph is survived by his son Larry (Tricia) Mirman; three grandchildren, Daniel, Rebecca (Aaron) Rouse, Andrew, and two great grandchildren, Payton and Graham.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Anna, brother Ben, and wife Ruth on February 29, 2008.
Funeral Services for Ralph with be held at 11:00 am on Friday October 4, 2019 at Mount Sinai Congregation in Wausau. Rabbi Daniel Danson will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the time of services at the synagogue. Burial will take place at the Wausau Hebrew Cemetery. Karen May Kellbach
Karen May Kellbach, 66, of Wausau, passed away on September 22, 2019, while spending time with her son in Oklahoma.
Karen was born in Wausau on July 13, 1953 to the late Roger and Oranell (Thurs) Kellbach. She worked as a bookkeeper for First United Methodist Church before retiring. For many years, Karen was proud to serve her community as a City Council Member in Wausau, and on the Marathon County Board.
Karen is survived by her son, Brandon (Jenny) Kellbach.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karen’s name to Paws Enforcing Laws Fund or Wausau Police Department Therapy Dog Fund through Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin.

Marvin Knoeck
Marvin H. Knoeck, 91, Wausau, died Monday September 23, 2019 at Pride TLC, Weston, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born October 27, 1927 son of the late John and Mayme (Linder) Knoeck, near Marathon City and attended grade school and high school in Marathon. On May 24, 1950, he married Bernice Stieber at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. She preceded him in death September 17, 2008.
After working for the former St. James Catholic church and school for 15 years, Marv was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for 26 years retiring in 1991.
Among his many civic and fraternal involvements were Wisconsin Public Service Men’s Club, Wausau; Knights of Columbus 1069, Wausau, where he served as a board member, and even as a bartender; Catholic Order of Foresters Court 795, Marathon, and Catholic Financial Life Branch 33, Wausau.
Marvin also played inter-church dart ball with the former St. James Arrows from 1952 – 2009, holding league office many times, as well as with the former Riiser Oil dart ball team for which he and the team traveled to various state tournaments. He also enjoyed dancing and playing cards and did extensive volunteer work with Aspirus Hospital, St. James, St. Therese, and St. Matthew Catholic Churches, and as an election inspector in Wausau from 1990 – 2012. He and Bernice enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, the Panama Canal and South America, to Rochester, NY, Seattle, Dallas, and Atlanta to visit their children and grandchildren, and to many other states to visit family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Jr. (Jane) Knoeck of Rochester NY; Robert (Karen) Knoeck of Keller TX, and one daughter, Mary Jane (Ted) Guerrant of Atlanta GA; one brother, Gordon (Ann) Knoeck, Wausau; six grandchildren: Stephen Knoeck, San Jose, CA, Laura Strossman, Rochester, NY, Kristin Webb, Keller TX, Christopher and Carly Guerrant, Atlanta, GA, and Kelsy Black, Talladega, AL; and two great grandchildren, Aiden Black and Emery Webb; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by wife, Bernice, son Kenneth, parents John and Mayme Knoeck, sister Mary Ann Hornung, and in-laws Rudolph and Mary (Hoffman) Stieber, Al & June Stieber, Earl and Marie Krieg, Ed and Kathleen Stockhausen, Rudy and Irene Stieber, Jr., and Frank and Anna Heil.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon, MONDAY OCTOBER 14, 2019 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Peter Kieffer will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will be on Sunday OCTOBER 13, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, and again on Monday OCTOBER 14, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Allen “Butch” Syring
Allen “Butch” R. Syring, 69, Wausau, died Sunday, September 22, 2019.
He was born September 22, 1950 in Wausau, son of the late Richard and Genevieve (Wimmer) Syring. On June 7, 1975, he married Paulette Klimek at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Allen was a veteran of the United States Marines and a member of the American Legion Montgomery Plant Dudley Post No. 10, Wausau. In October of 2018, he took the trip of a lifetime on the Honor Flight, and ever since, has greeted those veterans at the airport, returning from their trip. For 25 years, he worked as an electronic technician for the United States Postal Service, until his retirement.
Following his retirement, Allen became an avid golfer and spent many hours working on projects and helping out at both the Trapp River Golf Course and the Tribute Golf Course. He was very proud of the “Hole in One” he achieved at Tribute Golf Course. Allen was a member of the Rib Mountain Bowmen and was an avid hunter, especially enjoying hunting trips to “Kid’s Camp” in Iron County.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Paulette, Wausau; his son, William “Bill” Syring, Knowlton; two brothers, Jeff (Sharon) Syring, Schofield and Steven (Sandra) Syring, Aurora, CO; one sister, Jean Matsche, Wausau; two brothers-in-law, Matt (Audrey Braun) Klimek, Minocqua and Michael “Vinnie” Klimek, Aniwa; three sisters-in-law, Karen (John) Laska, Wausau, Susan Klimek, Wausau and Virginia (Tom Lange) Klimek, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Syring; one sister, Patricia Beilke; and one brother-in-law, Edward Klimek.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Bunker’s, 1001 Golf Club Road, Wausau. Military honors will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. by the American Legion Post No. 10, Wausau.
