A Madison man was arrested on suspicion of his 10th operating while intoxicated charge, according to police.

Charles Owens, 56, was arrested after a traffic stop early Monday on Milwaukee Street in the town of Blooming Grove. A Dane County deputy made the arrest and transported Owens to a local hospital for a chemical test of his blood.

Court records show Owens was on extended supervision stemming from a June 2015 OWI conviction at the time of his arrest on Monday. He was booked into the Dane County Jail and is awaiting formal charges.

Police say Owens was also cited for operating after revocation and having open intoxicants inside his vehicle.
