A 50-year-old town of Stockton man is dead following an ATV crash Sunday in Portage County, according to a news release
The Portage County Communications Center received a call at about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 regarding the crash, which happened in the 6600 block of Second street in the town of Stockton.
Ambulance, Stockton Fire and Emergency Medical Responders, and Portage County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene.
The victim has been identified as Keith A. Hoffman. Police say Hoffman was operating the ATV westbound on Second Street when he lost control, entered the north ditch and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other people or vehicles were involved in the crash, which is being investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
