Two people have died following a two-vehicle crash Thursday in the town of Richfield, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash was reported just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of CTH A and CTH EE near Marshfield.
A preliminary investigation indicates an eastbound vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, then struck a southbound pickup that was pulling a trailer, police said. The driver of eastbound vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Both victims were trapped inside the vehicle and were extricated using Jaws of Life, officials said.
No names have been released.
