One person suffered multiple gunshot wounds and a 24-year-old man is in custody following an overnight shooting in Stevens Point, department officials said.
The shooting was reported at about 3:20 a.m. at a hotel that is under construction at 300 Division St. North. Both the victim and the suspect were living in the hotel temporarily while they worked on construction, police said. The hotel is not currently open to customers.
Police have not specified the severity of the victim’s injuries. The suspect is jailed on a recommended charge of attempted homicide.
