Multiple crashes blamed on deteriorating road conditions have shut down a portion of Hwy. 51 on Sunday.
The initial single-vehicle crash was reported at about 11 a.m. when a southbound driver near Hwy. K crashed into a side rail, according to initial scanner traffic.
The driver was trapped but freed himself before rescue crews arrived.
Additional crashes resulted in southbound lane closures near Hwy. WW.
Drivers are urged to use caution and slow down as conditions continue to deteriorate.
