The D.C. Everest School District is canceling all after school events and activities including sports and performances and is suspending visits by vendors and volunteers amid COVID-19 concerns, according to a letter sent to parents and families.

Field trips are also canceled, and all facilities, including the Greenheck Fieldhouse, will close at 6 p.m. daily to allow custodial staff time to disinfect the facilities and limit the impact on families relying on after school child care programs.

School officials are also preparing take-home curriculum in the event that school closures, which have been ordered in several other states, become mandated. Students are advised to bring home iPads and school material daily in case a closure occurs, the letter explains.
