The spreading coronavirus is elbowing its way into our daily lives, whether we like it or not.

It’s affecting our schools, our workplaces, our local economy, our vacations, our health, the places we gather.

In the Wausau Pilot & Review newsroom, our efforts are focused on giving you the information you need to make good decisions about your daily lives, and your health. We’re not here to scare you. We’re here to inform you.

So far, there are no reported cases in Wausau, though Wisconsin cases are on the rise. We are on that story, and we’re gathering everything we can find out, minute by minute, with regular updates. We’re also gathering valuable tips on how you can stay safe during the outbreak.

We’ve launched an interactive Facebook group, Central Wisconsin Coronavirus Updates, where we’ll share links to fact-based stories that can help you navigate through this crisis. We’ll also do our best to find answers to your questions, and we’d like to hear your experiences if you’ve been affected by COVID-19 in any way.

You can request to join the group, created just this morning, by visiting the page here. Journalists from other organizations are welcome to join in as well and share your own coverage to help readers cope in these difficult days.

We’ve also created a COVID-19 page on our site to house all stories, announcements and developments as they happen. Bookmark the page here.

We know these are troubling times. We hope to keep you as informed as we possibly can, and we hope you find our coverage helpful. Thanks for following along.
