Crews from two area fire departments responded Monday to a report of a fire at the site of a Marathon manufacturing plant, with visible flames and smoke pouring from the building.
Marathon and Edgar fire personnel were paged at about 9 a.m. Monday to Channeled Resources Group, 550 Maratech Ave., in Marathon City. Officers are also at the scene of the blaze.
There’s no word on how the blaze started or whether any workers are inside the building.
Channeled Resources manufacturing facilities are in Marathon, but the business’ headquarters is in Chicago. The company manufactures adhesive tape and coated release liners, according to the organization’s website.
