WAUSAU — In an effort to support the restaurants in the region, the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce has organized a Restaurant Week to be held from April 13 to April 19.

“Restaurants do more than serve food,”  said Dave Eckmann, president and CEO of the Chamber, in a news release. “They are large employers in our community which support many families. They offer a variety of food choices to our community and in times like now, they bring great joy, building family morale in times of crisis.”

The chamber will give away a $50 chamber gift certificate to a random participant in a contest to be held on Facebook. Diners are asked to post photos of their meals or gift card purchased during Restaurant Week on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Participants should tag the restaurant in all entries.

If your restaurant has a take-out or delivery special you’d like to highlight during this week, the Chamber will feature it on the Hot Deals on Hot Meals page on WausauChamber.com. Send details on specials to marketing manager Brian Otten at 715-848-5947.

The Chamber has also assembled a list of those businesses that offer take-out or delivery. Contact each business in advance to place an order and confirm delivery or take-out details.

Visit the Chamber’s Facebook page beginning April 13 for more information.
