A 17-year-old Kronenwetter resident out on bond for child enticement and sexual assault charges is accused of assaulting a second victim, this time a 13-year-old girl.

Evan Van Norman was first charged in October after a 17-year-old girl told police Van Norman strangled her, held her down, and forced her to have sex. In that case, Van Norman was formally charged with child enticement, second degree sexual assault and exposing genitals.

Van Norman was released Nov. 15 after posting a $500 cash bond. He was ordered to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 unless supervised, and was also ordered to be confined to his parents’ home except for work and school, court records show.

But in January, Van Norman was at a friend’s house when he allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl he met on Snapchat.

Now, Van Norman faces new charges filed May 19 in Marathon County Circuit Court: sexual assault of a child younger than 16, child enticement and bail jumping.

During an initial appearance Tuesday, a judge set a new bond for Van Norman – $5,000 cash. He remains jailed as of Tuesday afternoon.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 27.
