Two people were injured in separate ATV crashes in Lincoln County over the weekend, sheriff’s officials said.

The first crash happened Friday evening in the town of Harrison. The victim, a woman from Rockford, Ill., hit a large rock and flipped her ATV, pinning her underneath.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life threatening, police said.

A second crash happened Saturday, also in the town of Harrison, when a 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was thrown from an ATV. Police say the boy lost control of the machine on a sandy portion of a trail.

The boy was transported to a local hospital. His injuries are not expected to be life-threatening, police said.

No names have been released in either crash.
