WAUSAU – Marcus Hall scored 44 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the D.C. Everest boys basketball team to a wild 105-98 overtime win over Wausau West on Tuesday night at West High School.

Hall was 13-for-18 from the field and a perfect 17-for-17 at the free throw line, and made one 3-pointer to finish with a game-high 44 points, the sixth time he has scored more than 30 points in a game this season. He had a career-high 54 points earlier this season against Appleton West.

West led 42-41 at halftime before D.C. Everest was able to pull even with a 50-49 advantage in the second half. The Evergreens pulled away in overtime, outscoring West 14-7.

Cohen Priebe added 23 points and Ben Prunuske had 22 for D.C. Everest (6-9, 5-2 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Cole Nelson made eight 3-pointers and scored 31 points for Wausau West (8-8, 3-4 WVC). Jack Berens added 28 points, Jaraul Walker had 22 points and 15 rebounds as well for the Warriors.

Both teams return to action Friday. West will play at Wausau East and D.C. Everest will travel to Marshfield. Everest’s game, which begins at 7:15 p.m., will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
